The folks at Audible Records call it "Terwilliger Ryan's Elmo Aardvark: The Classic Cartoon Soundtracks, Volume One: Have A Lot of Fun" But I think what we've got here is something else: a collection of miracles.

Decades-old legal prohibitions have, like the iron curtain itself, finally been lifted. Long-thought lost nitrate film tracks and ancient shellac pressings have been pried from private collections around the world. Technology developed for the space age has been applied o the restoration of recordings made during the days of the model T. And a classic American voice which has been muffled for nigh onto two score years is singing once again-making the earth a hipper, hope-ier, happier planet to in habit.

Hey nonny-nonny, hopp-de-doo, hot cha-cha, zoiks, and double zoiks! Elmo Aardvark's Wacky-Wacky sound is ringing' cross the land again.

Let the chroniclers of film history fill in the details of this renaissance. That's their job. Ours is to dig the music presented herein. And dig it we indubitably do. Thanks to the wizards at Bisonic Research Labbs and the magicians at DHR (Digital Holophonic Revitalization), most of these performances have never sounded so vibrant. So wave toodle-oo to those musty bootlegs when you're Taking Out The Trash.

On this volume you'll hear not only classic Elmo Aardvark favorites and never-before-heard versions of Snappytoons standards, but "bonus tracks" by contemporary artists who have never lost their love for America's Original Animated Star.
